You Won't See Me Again

I walked in to an empty barroom and got myself a drink. It’s not a lot but it’s a good one and it’s good enough for free. I gave it all during my first song to the sounds of glasses clink. And it’s quite a kick cuz I think they’re watching anything but me.
Some people take a chance and see what life becomes others like to dance until the morning comes. And if you see me smiling; half a mile from drying out. You won’t see me again.
I hit the road with my first record had a sign and a guarantee but I hit the boat and missed all the notes till they pulled the plug on me. And I apologized at the hotel lobby said this ain’t my philosophy and I left a lousy penny cuz that’s all I had on me.

You're Better Than This

Open up the dams, flow the hours away with another case of beer. I’m glad you’re here. You’ve been missed, even when you’re pissed but you’re better than this
You’ve been asked to leave. Try another day and while you’re at it close the door. Don’t come no more. Close your fist even when you’re pissed. You’re better than this.

Sweet Sunny Day

On a sweet sunny day I went to talk to you but you went away. You could look for something before you summon a fray. It’s another try but you don’t ask why I wanna stay. Oh what a twist to be kissed on a sweet sunny day.
Id get in touch with you but I don’t have a dime. I’d rather wait up on the line.

I’m sleep talking I’ve found but still there’s nothing that comes off as profound. When all I said and done I know that dreams are dreams I’m not Rimbaud. Still there’s something to this red Bordeaux but I’m just stalling, I dunno.
When will the spring come around? These leaves and snow they all know my life’s run aground. An empty glass of dark Pinot has spilled on to Descartes and Thoreau. It seems it could have been quite a year ago, but I’m just stalling, I dunno

Well I’ve been on a this road too long with a love affair that always turns out wrong. It’s a sin now and I am wearing thing but I still have some letters to send you. Compose another chronicle with a dry ink well and a broken quill.

Look at the time! Your goodbyes seem realer than mine but I don’t believe a word you say.
By the time you hear this, it won’t make any difference. What it will take it takes. That’s good enough for me
Used to be mine. Used to come by all of the time but you don’t believe a word I say
By the time you hear this, it won’t make any difference. What it will take it takes. That’s good enough for me, but is it good enough for you?
